Jeff Coney serves as Director of Economic Development at Northwestern University, a position he was appointed to in September, 2007. He is also a member of the management team of the Innovation and New Ventures Office (INVO). His responsibilities include selected intellectual property and license management, marketing and business development for INVO. Coney joined Northwestern in 2000 as Director of New Business Initiatives.
Prior to joining the University, Coney spent 14 years as a software entrepreneur. He co-founded Facility Management Systems, Inc., a local software company, which was sold to a publicly traded company. He has also had prior employment with Arthur Andersen, Metropolitan Structures and The City of Chicago. Mr. Coney holds BA and MBA degrees from Northwestern and is a CPA.
